Singapore’s Trusted Mitsubishi Aircon Servicing Experts
We service all Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries models across Singapore. Whether you have a Starmex unit at home or an MHI system at the office, our team handles both.
General Service, Chemical Wash or Repair.
What Does Your Mitsubishi Need?
Most customers who call us are not sure which service to book. The right answer depends on how your unit is performing right now and when it was last serviced.
Our Mitsubishi Aircon Servicing Process
Here is what to expect when our aircon technician arrives at your home or office.
Step 1
Survey
We start by checking your unit. Our technician confirms whether it is a Mitsubishi Electric or Mitsubishi Heavy Industries model, looks at the operating condition and checks for any visible faults.
We tell you what the unit needs and what the work will cost before anything starts.
Step 2
Professional Servicing
Next, we carry out the agreed service. For general servicing, this covers filter cleaning, coil cleaning and drain line flushing.
For a chemical wash, we dismantle the blower and clean internal components thoroughly, with specific care taken for the model type.
For repairs, we get your approval on the diagnosis and cost before we proceed.
Step 3
Testing & Aftercare
Once servicing is complete, we run your Mitsubishi unit through a full performance check. We confirm cooling output, check airflow, noise levels and look for any leaks or error codes.
Before we leave, we give you a quick rundown on your unit’s condition and what to keep an eye on before the next service.
Why Choose Air Connection
We have been servicing Mitsubishi aircon units since 2011. Here is what we bring to every job.
Which Mitsubishi Do You Have?
Mitsubishi Electric (ME) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) are two separate companies. Both sell aircon units in Singapore under the Mitsubishi name, which can cause confusion.
They have different model lines, different refrigerant specifications and different servicing needs. We service both.

Mitsubishi Electric — Starmex Series
The most common Mitsubishi residential unit in Singapore. Starmex units use R32 refrigerant and come in single-split and multi-split configurations.
If your indoor unit has “Starmex” printed on the front panel or casing, this is your model. Current Starmex units are among the more straightforward to service.

Mitsubishi Electric — MSY and MUY Series
These are older ME single-split and multi-split models still found in many HDB flats and condos. Depending on age, they run on R410A or R22 refrigerants.
We service these models and can advise on whether a repair or replacement makes more sense given the unit’s age.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries — Rocket (YYS) and YVS Series
MHI residential units are less common but still widely used in Singapore homes and offices.
The indoor unit label will say “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries” rather than “Mitsubishi Electric”.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries — VRF Commercial Systems
MHI also makes commercial VRF systems used in offices, retail spaces and light industrial settings.
We handle routine servicing, gas top-up and fault repair for MHI VRF setups.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about Mitsubishi aircon servicing or repairs?
Here are answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners and businesses.
If you don’t see your question here, our team is just a call/message away.
1. How often should I service my Mitubishi aircon in Singapore?
For most homes, servicing every 3-6 months is the right interval. This applies to both Mitsubishi Electric Starmex and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries residential units.
If your unit runs for long hours every day or sits near a kitchen or a dusty corridor, servicing every three months may be more practical. For a chemical wash, once every 12-18 months is a reasonable guide depending on how heavily the unit is used.
2. What does a standard Mitsubishi aircon service include?
A standard general service covers cleaning the air filters and front panels, light coil cleaning, drain line flushing and a cooling performance check.
Our technician will also do a quick check for leaks, unusual noises or error codes. If we find anything that needs attention, we will explain it clearly before recommending any additional work.
3. My Mitsubishi aircon is not cooling properly. What could be the cause?
Dirty filters or coils are the most likely explanation if the unit has not been serviced recently. Low refrigerant is another common cause, particularly in older Starmex or MSY models.
If the cooling problem came on suddenly and the unit was serviced recently, it could point to a refrigerant leak or a failing component. A quick inspection will usually confirm what is going on.
4. My Mitsubishi is dripping water indoors. Should I stop using it?
A slow drip from the indoor unit usually means a blocked drain pipe. This is a common issue and a straightforward fix. If water is pouring out or coming from an unusual spot on the unit, it is better to switch it off and contact us.
For MHI units specifically, a displaced or cracked drain pan can also cause leaking after a chemical overhaul if the unit was not reassembled carefully.
5. Does Air Connection use genuine Mitsubishi parts for repairs?
We use quality compatible parts that are matched to the specifications of each model. Our technician will explain what component is needed, confirm the cost and get your approval before any repair work begins.
6. How long does a Mitsubishi aircon service take?
General servicing takes around 30 to 45 minutes per unit. A chemical wash takes roughly 60 to 90 minutes per unit. A chemical overhaul typically takes two to three hours per unit.
For repairs, the time depends on the fault type. Our technician can give you a realistic estimate after the initial check.
7. Do you service Mitsubishi commercial and VRF systems?
Yes. We service Mitsubishi Heavy Industries VRF commercial systems, including routine maintenance, gas top-up and fault repair. Contact us with your system details and we can put together a servicing plan that suits your schedule.
8. Will professional servicing affect my Mitsubishi warranty?
Regular professional servicing generally supports your warranty conditions rather than voiding them. That said, warranty terms vary between models and suppliers. Check your Mitsubishi warranty terms for the specific requirements. Our BCA Registered Contractor status means our workmanship meets recognised industry standards.
9. Do you install Mitsubishi aircon units?
Yes. We install Mitsubishi Electric and MHI systems, including wall-mounted and ceiling cassette types, for homes and businesses. Visit our aircon installation page for full details.
10. How do I book a Mitsubishi aircon service?
Contact us with your unit type (Starmex, MSY, MHI, or unsure), the number of units and your preferred timing. We will confirm availability, give you a price estimate and arrange a visit.
On the day, our technician will arrive on time, explain what the work involves and walk you through the results before leaving.
11. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayNow, bank transfer, and cash payments for convenience. For larger projects, we can also provide invoices for business or corporate clients.
Our team will share the accepted payment methods when we prepare your quotation or confirm your booking. Let us know if you have a specific preference.
